With Liverpool maintaining a commanding 12-point lead after their narrow win over Everton earlier in the week, Arsenal’s chances of reclaiming the title are slim.

Arteta has opted to make significant changes to his starting line-up, refreshing the squad with five adjustments from the side that edged Fulham in midweek.

Jakub Kiwior replaces the injured Gabriel Magalhães in central defence, partnering William Saliba.

Ben White returns at right-back after overcoming a knock, while teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly continues at left-back, with Riccardo Calafiori unavailable. Jurrien Timber, who had picked up a knee concern, is fit enough for the bench.

In midfield, Jorginho comes in to give Thomas Partey a rest. Captain Martin Ødegaard is also rotated out, with Mikel Merino joining Declan Rice in the centre of the park.

The Gunners also shake up their attack. Leandro Trossard returns to the starting eleven as Gabriel Martinelli drops to the bench.

Raheem Sterling comes into the side, while Arteta continues to show faith in young Ethan Nwaneri, who retains his place. Bukayo Saka starts on the bench.

For Everton, Jordan Pickford continues in goal, with James Tarkowski and Jarrod Branthwaite forming the central defensive pairing. Up front, Beto leads the line as Sean Dyche’s side look to fight for valuable points in their relegation battle.

Confirmed Line-Ups:

Arsenal:
Raya; White, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Jorginho, Merino, Rice; Nwaneri, Trossard, Sterling
Subs: Neto, Timber, Tierney, Zinchenko, Partey, Gower, Ødegaard, Martinelli, Saka
