The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for Forest since arriving from Wolves in 2022, playing a pivotal role in their Premier League survival over the past two seasons.

This term, he has helped Nuno Espirito Santo’s side mount an unexpected top-four challenge, with Forest currently sitting third on 57 points after 31 games — five ahead of sixth-placed Man City.

According to Transfermarket, in 27 league outings this season, Gibbs-White has contributed five goals and seven assists, earning an England call-up during the March international break.

Liverpool have reportedly been monitoring his progress closely, with manager Arne Slot keen to bring in another attacking midfielder to strengthen the squad.

However, City are also interested, viewing him as a potential long-term successor to Kevin De Bruyne, who is expected to leave on a free transfer this summer.

Newcastle United are also admirers, with Eddie Howe ready to move if an opportunity arises.

Forest, though, are determined to keep their talisman and are preparing a new contract offer. If they are forced to sell, they would demand at least £100m, with Gibbs-White’s current deal running until 2027.

While Dominik Szoboszlai has been Liverpool’s main creative force this season, backed up by Curtis Jones, Slot is keen to add further depth.

Gibbs-White has proven his quality in the Premier League, but his £100m price tag may prompt Liverpool to consider more affordable alternatives.
