Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal have all emerged as potential destinations for Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to Caught Offside.
After a standout spell at Fulham, Palhinha earned a move to the Allianz Arena last summer. However, his first season in Germany has been underwhelming, with only eight starts across the Bundesliga and Champions League.
The Portuguese international was also left out entirely in recent key fixtures against Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern are now reportedly open to selling the 29-year-old after just one campaign, and his agent is actively exploring options for a return to the Premier League — his preferred destination.
In addition to United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, clubs such as West Ham, Nottingham Forest, and former side Fulham could be offered the chance to sign him.
Palhinha still has three years remaining on his contract, and Transfermarkt values him at around £34m. Bayern are expected to demand a substantial fee for his departure.
United are preparing for midfield changes with Christian Eriksen set to leave as a free agent and Casemiro potentially sold.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have been seeking midfield reinforcements since last summer, and Arsenal are also expected to refresh their options with Thomas Partey and Jorginho possibly departing.
At 6ft 2in, Palhinha is a commanding presence in midfield — strong in tackles, dominant in the air, adept at intercepting play, and capable of launching attacks with accurate long passes.
Where the Bayern man lands this summer could shape the midfield battle for next season’s Premier League title race.
