Arsenal are weighing up a January move for one of the Premier League’s most in-form wingers, Bryan Mbeumo, according to RMC Sport.

The Gunners closed the gap on leaders Liverpool to just four points with a 2-1 comeback win over Tottenham at the Emirates.

However, with Arne Slot’s side holding a game in hand, Mikel Arteta knows his team must keep winning to stay in the title race.

Despite the victory, Arsenal wasted several big chances against Spurs, highlighting the need for more attacking quality.

With Bukayo Saka sidelined for two months, Gabriel Jesus ruled out for the season, and youngster Ethan Nwaneri also injured, Arteta is keen to strengthen his forward line.

Brentford are bracing for bids this month, with Mbeumo currently valued at £42m on Transfermarkt. However, the Bees are expected to demand significantly more, potentially upwards of £70m, to part ways with their star mid-season.

The 24-year-old Cameroonian has been outstanding this campaign, registering 13 goals and 4 assists. Known for his dribbling, pressing, and relentless work rate, he has also been praised as “unplayable” by manager Thomas Frank, according to BBC Sports.

Mbeumo would provide Arsenal with an immediate boost in creativity and goal threat on the right flank while covering for Saka.

Whether the Gunners are willing to meet Brentford’s steep demands could define their January window.
