Arsenal return to Champions League action tonight as they host Olympiacos at the Emirates Stadium for their second group stage clash of the season.
The Gunners began their 2025/26 campaign with a 2-0 victory away to Athletic Bilbao, secured late on thanks to goals from substitutes Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Manager Mikel Arteta will now be aiming for back-to-back wins to strengthen Arsenal’s position in the group.
Confidence in the camp is high following Sunday’s dramatic 2-1 Premier League win over Newcastle United. Gabriel Magalhaes scored deep into stoppage time to snatch all three points after Mikel Merino had briefly brought the hosts level.
Arteta has shuffled his squad for tonight’s clash, making six changes from the side that started at St James’ Park. Goalkeeper David Raya keeps his place, while Gabriel partners the returning William Saliba at centre-back.
Ben White comes in for Jurrien Timber at right-back, and youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly starts on the left in place of Riccardo Calafiori.
In midfield, Martin Zubimendi sits at the base, with Declan Rice handed a rest. Mikel Merino earns a start alongside Martin Odegaard, who is now back to full fitness following his sharp cameo against Newcastle.
Further forward, Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka are rotated out, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli featuring from the flanks. Viktor Gyokeres once again leads the line as Arsenal’s centre-forward.
