Arsenal’s recent win against Crystal Palace was marred by a serious hamstring injury to star player Bukayo Saka. Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka will undergo surgery and is expected to miss the next two months.

With no natural right wingers on the team, Arsenal may look to sign a player in that role in January.

According to reports, the Gunners are eyeing AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze as a potential signing. The 25-year-old has been a valuable secondary player for Milan, scoring three goals and providing an assist this season.

Paulo Fonseca is reportedly willing to let Chukwueze go for around £17 million.

Arsenal may try to negotiate the deal by offering Jakub Kiwior to AC Milan. Chukwueze would be a good stopgap signing for the team, providing a dynamic presence on the right flank.

He excels in one-on-one situations and has a good shot and rapid pace.

The Nigerian international has proven himself at Milan and Villarreal, and regular minutes at Arsenal would be an attractive prospect for him. While £17 million is not a significant outlay for Arsenal, getting rid of Kiwior in a potential swap deal would be a bonus.

  1. Chukwueze’s signing would be a good short-term fix for Arsenal, allowing them to navigate the busy fixture list without Saka. He has the potential to make a difference in the second half of the season and beyond. With limited options available in the winter transfer window, Arsenal may find Chukwueze to be the perfect solution to their right-wing problem.
