Arsenal’s FA Cup clash with Manchester United could have extra intrigue off the pitch, as reports from Calcio Mercato (via 90min) claim the Gunners have made an enquiry about Marcus Rashford’s future.

With Mikel Arteta eager to strengthen his attacking options, the 27-year-old forward has emerged as a potential target.

Rashford has struggled under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, often finding himself left out of the squad and hinting at being open to a fresh challenge.

With United seemingly ready to part ways, Arsenal reportedly value the England international at around £21 million, though the Red Devils are likely to demand far more—especially if he moves to a domestic rival.

On his day, Rashford can be electric, but his recent form has raised concerns. His inconsistency, combined with suggestions of attitude issues in training, casts doubt on whether he would fit Arteta’s demanding system at the Emirates.

The Gunners have already been burned by similar gambles—Raheem Sterling’s loan from Chelsea has yet to deliver—and moving for Rashford could risk repeating the same mistake.

Meanwhile, other wingers such as Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman are reportedly available and may offer a more reliable upgrade.

While Arsenal’s interest is understandable given Rashford’s ability, the move feels unlikely.

United will not sell cheaply, and Arteta may prefer targets better aligned with his long-term vision.
