Arsenal leading race to sign Valencia midfield star Javi Guerra

Arsenal are reportedly in pole position to sign Valencia’s highly-rated midfielder Javi Guerra this summer, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

The 21-year-old Spain U21 international has been a standout performer in La Liga this season, featuring in every game for Carlos Corberán’s side.

His commanding presence, technical quality, and ability to dictate play have caught the attention of several top European clubs, with Arsenal now emerging as the frontrunners.

Fichajes claims that Mikel Arteta is convinced Guerra’s attributes align perfectly with his tactical system. Arsenal are closely monitoring the midfielder and are prepared to make a substantial offer, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €20m (£17m).

While Valencia are reluctant to sell, financial pressures could force their hand. The club may have to cash in on their academy product, who follows in the footsteps of Valencia greats such as David Silva, Isco, and Carlos Soler.

At 6ft 2in, Guerra blends physicality with elegance, showcasing stamina, ball-carrying ability, and composure in tight spaces. Though not yet the finished product, his development under Arteta could elevate him to world-class status.
