Arsenal are preparing for a busy summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to finally secure a prolific number nine for next season.
The Gunners have been linked with several forwards across Europe, and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush has now emerged as a leading target, according to Give Me Sport.
The Egyptian international has enjoyed a standout campaign in Germany, registering 18 goals and 12 assists in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
Frankfurt are expected to demand close to £50 million for their star man — a fee Arsenal may consider worthwhile given their urgent need for a reliable centre forward.
Marmoush’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring him closely.
Spurs view the 25-year-old as a potential solution to their attacking void since Harry Kane’s departure, while Liverpool are considering him as a possible long-term replacement should Mohamed Salah move on.
However, both clubs face obstacles. Tottenham’s Champions League absence makes them a less attractive option, while Liverpool’s pursuit depends heavily on Salah’s future — with the Reds unlikely to move quickly for a striker when their greater need lies out wide.
That leaves Arsenal in a strong position. Arteta can offer Marmoush his preferred role as a central striker, where his all-round ability could be crucial in transforming the Gunners’ frontline.
At £50 million, Marmoush could prove to be a bargain compared to other high-priced targets, particularly as Arsenal are also expected to strengthen in midfield and on the right wing.
If Arsenal move decisively, they may well beat both Liverpool and Spurs to one of the Bundesliga’s most in-form forwards.
