Chelsea’s growing connection with Brazilian talent appears far from over. After securing the signatures of Estevão Willian and João Pedro in recent transfer windows, the Blues are reportedly preparing to dip into the South American market once again.
Both young forwards have wasted no time making their mark in London. Estevão recently found the net in Chelsea’s 2–1 victory over Liverpool, while João Pedro impressed on the global stage, scoring three times during the Club World Cup campaign.
Unfortunately, Pedro will miss the upcoming clash against Benfica due to suspension.
With the January transfer window approaching, reports suggest that Chelsea are now turning their attention to another exciting Brazilian prospect — Vitor Roque of Palmeiras.
Chelsea face competition for Roque’s signature
According to Goal, Chelsea are weighing up a move for the 20-year-old striker, who has rediscovered his form in Brazil after a difficult stint with Barcelona. Roque managed just two goals in 16 appearances at Camp Nou before sealing a permanent switch to Palmeiras earlier this year.
Since returning to his homeland, the forward has reignited his scoring touch, netting 13 goals in 26 league games so far this season — a run of form that has drawn renewed attention from Europe’s elite.
However, a transfer won’t be straightforward. Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring the situation closely, and Roque himself is reportedly cautious about another European move, particularly with the World Cup year on the horizon.
A Familiar Path Emerging
Chelsea’s South American recruitment strategy seems to be taking shape. With players like João Pedro, Estevão Willian, and Liam Delap already bolstering their attacking options, the Blues are clearly committed to blending youthful energy with long-term potential.
Whether Vitor Roque will become the next Brazilian to join the project remains to be seen — but given his current trajectory, Stamford Bridge could once again become home to one of Brazil’s brightest young stars in 2026.
