Liverpool are preparing for a busy summer transfer window as Arne Slot looks to reshape his attacking options.

With uncertainty surrounding the futures of Darwin Núñez, Federico Chiesa, Luis Díaz, and Mohamed Salah, the Reds are expected to back Slot with a significant budget after a quiet first year in the market.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool have set their sights on Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian has been one of Andoni Iraola’s standout performers this season, contributing six goals and three assists while showcasing his versatility across the front line, according to Transfermarkt. His performances have not gone unnoticed by the Premier League leaders.

Bournemouth are believed to value Semenyo at around £50 million. However, Liverpool could explore a potential swap deal involving Ben Doak, who is currently priced at £30 million.

If such an arrangement materialises, the Reds might only need to add £20 million to secure Semenyo’s signature.

Semenyo’s energy, adaptability, and proven Premier League quality make him an ideal addition for Slot’s project at Anfield.

At £50 million, the Ghanaian international could even represent excellent value. However, parting ways with Ben Doak may not be the right move.

Doak, fresh off an impressive loan spell at Middlesbrough, has the potential to become a valuable squad option, particularly with uncertainty over Díaz and Chiesa.

His pace and creativity on the wings could prove vital as Slot looks to maintain depth in attack.

While Semenyo would be a smart signing for Liverpool, the club may be better off finding another way to negotiate his fee rather than sacrificing one of their brightest young talents.
