Liverpool willing to offer £33 Million for Patrick Dorgu’s signing

Liverpool are leading the Premier League title race with a four-point cushion over Arsenal and a game in hand.

Arne Slot’s side have been the most consistent force this season, but recent slip-ups — three winless results in their last five outings — have highlighted vulnerabilities in their squad.

One key concern has been at left-back. Andy Robertson has struggled to regain his best form since a shoulder injury, while Kostas Tsimikas has failed to impress as reliable cover.

As a result, Liverpool are actively exploring options to reinforce the position.

According to Standard Sport (via Italian outlet Solo Lecce), the Reds are preparing a £33 million bid for Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu, who has been one of Serie A’s standout left-backs this season.

The 19-year-old Dane has attracted plenty of interest, with Manchester United also eyeing him as a solution to their persistent left-back issues.

Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have been plagued by injuries, and new manager Ruben Amorim is keen to strengthen the position.

However, United’s pursuit may wait until summer, giving Liverpool an opening to move quickly. An official bid could be lodged before the January window closes, with Slot’s side keen to get ahead of their arch-rivals.

Whether Lecce agree to a mid-season sale remains uncertain.

A compromise deal could see Liverpool secure Dorgu now, with the transfer formalised at the end of the campaign.

If completed, the move would hand Liverpool a highly promising long-term replacement for Robertson, while also striking a blow to rivals United in the transfer market.
