Liverpool’s 20th Crown – Slot’s Season of Destiny

A year ago, Liverpool were still reeling from Jürgen Klopp’s farewell, unsure if Arne Slot could carry the weight of his legacy.

Now, the Dutchman stands immortal, delivering the Reds’ 20th league title and drawing level with Manchester United in the all-time tally. Only their second Premier League crown, yet one steeped in emotion and belief.

Slot’s reign began with a record-breaking debut at Portman Road, followed by three clean-sheet victories that echoed Sven-Göran Eriksson’s 2007 feat.

Even a shock loss to Nottingham Forest couldn’t halt the surge. By Christmas, Liverpool were top of the table, joining the company of debut-season leaders—Mourinho, Ancelotti, Conte—who all finished champions.

The title was sealed in April with a demolition of Spurs, making Slot one of the rare managers to win the league in his first campaign.

Ryan Gravenberch emerged as a revelation, reinvented as a dominant holding midfielder, leading the league in aerial duels and interceptions.

Mohamed Salah, crowned Player of the Season for the second time, delivered 28 goals and 18 assists, carrying Liverpool through their toughest tests—including a gritty 2-1 win over Chelsea.

The crowning night at Anfield was 35 years in the making. For the first time since 1990, Liverpool lifted the title in front of their own fans. “You’ll Never Walk Alone” thundered across the Kop as goals from Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gakpo, and Salah turned Spurs’ early strike into a coronation.

This wasn’t just a title—it was the rebirth of a dynasty.
