Man Utd push hard for Frattesi amid European interest

Manchester United’s summer rebuild shows no signs of slowing. After a season that veered toward disaster, they are determined to give Ruben Amorim the tools to revive Old Trafford’s pride. The latest name on their list: Davide Frattesi.

The Italian midfielder, 25, is ready for change. In a report by Fichajes, Inter Milan value him at over £30 million, and though his contract runs until 2028, they may sell if pressed.

Frattesi started just 13 games across Serie A and the Champions League last season, yet still delivered seven goals and an assist. Box-to-box, tireless, and direct, he fits the profile of a player United lack.

Amorim has already strengthened the attack with Matheus Cunha and is chasing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. A striker is also in the works—Hugo Ekitike remains on the radar after Viktor Gyokeres set his sights on Arsenal.

But midfield reinforcements are now a priority. Casemiro’s form wavers, Mainoo has yet to convince his new boss, and Christian Eriksen has departed on a free.

Frattesi, meanwhile, is not short of admirers. Yet the player is open to a move to the Premier League, eager for a bigger role than he’s had in Milan.

For United, it’s a test of decisiveness. Waiting risks losing him to Spain. Moving now could secure a player with the dynamism to change games and the stamina to drive a rebuild.

The race is on, and for Amorim’s project to take shape, this might be the kind of signing that turns intent into belief.
