Manchester United make the short trip across the city this Sunday to face Manchester City in the Premier League.

This will be the 195th Manchester derby, with United boasting 79 victories to City’s 61. Yet in recent league meetings, Pep Guardiola’s men have held the upper hand, claiming five wins from the last six clashes.

City’s current form, however, tells a different story. They have managed just one win in their last 10 matches across all competitions, losing seven in that spell.

The champions sit fourth in the table with 27 points from 15 games. United’s struggles are equally evident—they occupy 13th place with 19 points from the same number of matches.

Team update
After months of battling injuries, United finally has near-full squad availability, with Luke Shaw the only absentee.

Predicted XI
Ruben Amorim has rotated heavily in his early matches in charge and is expected to make changes from the midweek Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen.

Andre Onana should retain his spot in goal despite back-to-back poor displays. Harry Maguire may anchor a back three, flanked by Leny Yoro on the right and Lisandro Martínez on the left.

Noussair Mazraoui is tipped to operate at left wing-back, with Diogo Dalot on the right. This could see Matthijs de Ligt and Tyrell Malacia drop to the bench.

In midfield, Manuel Ugarte is likely to shield the defence alongside Bruno Fernandes, meaning Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo might miss out on starting roles.

Up front, Rasmus Hojlund should lead the line, supported by Mason Mount and Amad Diallo. Alejandro Garnacho may be used as an impact substitute, while Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee could also start from the bench after underwhelming midweek performances.
