Liverpool head to the London Stadium to face West Ham in their 19th Premier League fixture of the season at 17:15 UK time tonight, with Arne Slot’s side aiming to close out a remarkable first half of the 2024/25 campaign in style.

Victory over the Hammers would push them closer to what looks like an inevitable league triumph, ending Manchester City’s four-year dominance.

West Ham have been in respectable form of late, so major changes are unlikely. Still, here’s how the Reds could line up.

Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker is back to full fitness and should retain his starting spot ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher.

Defence – The backline has been a stronghold for Liverpool, and Slot will likely stick to his trusted unit. With Ibrahima Konate still sidelined, Joe Gomez is expected to partner Virgil van Dijk in central defence. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson should maintain their positions as right and left full-backs.

Midfield – Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch have coped well with the relentless fixture list, and both should keep their places in the double pivot. Dominik Szoboszlai’s suspension, following his booking against Leicester on Boxing Day, opens the door for Curtis Jones to feature in the attacking midfield role.

Mohamed Salah should continue on the right, while Cody Gakpo—fresh off a goal against the Foxes—may be preferred to Luis Diaz on the left.

Attack – Darwin Nunez’s recent dip in form could see him make way for £41 million forward Diogo Jota, who would lead the line as Liverpool’s lone striker.
